A Friendly Reminder to Please Move Over

As we’ve mentioned a lot recently, it’s nice to see everyone making it back out on the roadways. We would like to remind folks that, as traffic has picked back up, so too have summer road projects. Work zones are active all throughout the Delaware Valley. We mention this because we have been reading more recently about workers being struck in work zones as well as several incidents involving tow drivers in the past few months.

Earlier this month, a road worker was struck and killed in a work zone in Howard County, MD outside Baltimore. Just prior to that, two tow truck operators were struck and killed while doing their job in separate incidents in Virginia within a week of one another.

Sure enough, different jobs carry with them different risks. Tow operators, road construction workers and first responders have enough risk in the job without having to worry about someone speeding through an active scene or work zone and causing lethal harm. Like you, we all just want to go home at the end of the day and see our loved ones. Please do your part in helping us to meet our daily goals.
